How to feel good in activewear and get yourself out to the gym. If what to wear is the only thing stopping you then get my top 6 highstreet looks to get you feeling confident enought to join a class.

Have you pledged to exercise more like me? Maybe you're already active enough.

Either way, what you wear when you exercise is important. If what to wear is holding you back then look no further. I have tips and 6 looks you can invest in.

It needs to deal with movement, stretching, wear and tear and sweat.

It needs to wash well regularly

It needs to make you feel comfortable and confident.

It should give you energy and put a smile on your face

Wear the right bra, sports bra or crop top.

Add a think t shirt over a vest top if you are really self conscious

We are often in a vulnerable state when we exercise and so our choice of active wear IS important.

Choose the right colour. It’s easy to pick black but if you are getting fit you are most likely not wearing makeup. So pick one of your best colours to help lift your complexion and help make you look beautiful and well. If black isn’t your colour it’s likely to drain you, wash you out and make you look tired under the eyes and you may feel self conscious.

Navy is a great choice for everyone and can be teamed up with many other colours. And as I browse the web to bring you a range of different options I am quickly finding navy and other shades of blue easy to find.

M&S have a simple calm navy print with a splash of light blue. It’s what I would call safe, or great for a natural or classic. Wear with white, black or grey.

Next offer a colour block look with a fun blue leopard print legging. If green isn’t your favorite then try this look with pink.

Primark can sometimes feel like a dirty word but with a cost of living crisis it’s still a staple for many of us. This cloud-like print is soft and pretty. You can now order online with Primark and do ‘click and collect’.

Sweaty Betty is one of the big gym wear brands. It costs a lot more but you get what you pay for. Shop the sales to get a great deal. This abstract print has flecks of apricot in an and would look fab on a light, warm and or soft lady.

At JD Sports you can often find great brands at reasonable prices. These navy leggings are simple and perfect for anyone as they can be dressed up by a dramatic/create or kept simple for a classic/natural.

Eco friendly self conscious brands like Tala have great reviews and lots of interesting pieces. I love this sporty look with its blue stripe. They are 92% upcycled, delivered in recycled packaging and, the best bit, the tags are made from 100% plantable paper that will grow into trees.

Whatever brand colour or style you go for, make sure you wear something that suits you to help give you the energy to achieve your exercise goals. A pop of colour will put a smile on your face and a spring in your step even when you walk out of that class sweaty and worn out.

Do you have any hang ups that I can help with to help get you out to the gym? Let me know if this has been helpful and where you get your ‘Activewear’ from.
