HOW TO WEAR BLUE

One of this springs hostest colours is Blue. Bright Cobalts and pastel blues will be everywhere. But can you wear it and how should you be wearing it??? Lets take a look at Cobalt… a strong dopamine colour.

Cobalt isn’t everyones best shade however it’s good for many of us for example brights, deeps, cool and warms can wear it. However if it’s a bit to strong for you then here are some alternatives and tips on how to wear it if you want to stay ‘on trend’ or just love this bright hue. And if you’d rather wear the right colour for your colour type, here are recomended shades of blue for you to check out too.

Different shades of blue

Blue

There have been many designers using this bold cobalt shade.  Blue can be classed as a Tranquil colour.  Blue can remind us of sunny days by the sea but also signifies bravery and dedication

MANGO

As a light you may find this blue too strong and heavy for your delicate light complexion. These two garments break up the depth and strength of colour by mixing it in a pattern with other light colours making it much easier to wear.

MARKS & SPENSER

These stripes would look fab on a Bright who can take a lot of contrast. This skirt is an ideal option for an athletic or inverted triangle. Dramatics may also love this bold look.

RIVER ISLAND

Go all in. These two simple but stunning dresses are on the lighter side. The dress on the right seems warmer. These can be dressed down with a denium jacket and trainers or dressed up with heels and jewlery. The dress on the left is giving me 90s vibes. White not wear it with a white tee underneath?

ZARA

If you are soft and smokey and wondering how you get away with such a strong colour, this Zara dress is for you. Just a splash of blue is splashed on top sunset shades, also one of these S/S23.  And this biker jacket is to die for. Definitely one of my favourite pieces so far.

PRIMARK

If Primarni is more your thing then add a splash of blue to a simple tee and jeans with these shoes and bag. The Culottes remind me of M&S wide legs. A very comfy and easy to wear basic for the summer months.
