How to wear the Co-ord!

Do you own a Co-ord or twin set? Why should you own a summer co-ord and what should you look out for when shopping for your perfect co-ord.

1. Never Fully Dressed, 2. Zara, 3. River Island, 4. Never Fully Dressed, 5. Matalan

Recently I went on a girls weekend away to Menorca. While looking around a local market I came across this fabulous green and pink twin set for just 28 Euros. Returning back I quickly discovered how many of these are available. So lets look at why you should consider getting one, things to remember when buying them and my favourite ones out right now.

  1. Wear together or appart.

  2. Get the right size top and bottom to create a dress or jumpsuit look.

  3. Inspire your wardrobe, add colour.

  4. Create a capsule holiday wardrobe.

  5. Dress up and dress down.

The co-ord is so versatile as you can see here

Co-ord for your shape:

The first shapes that come to mind are the pear and strawberry or even athletic bodyshape. Ladies who wear a different size on top and bottom. Why? Because, as these ladies know only too well, dresses and jumpsuits never fit. Because a co-ord can often be bought as two seperate piece, you can buy them in two different sizes. This means you can create the look of a dress or a jumpsuit that looks good and fits well.

Consider the fabric choice. If you know you are more straight up and down with little curves, go for a stiffer fabric. If you are curvy look for soft floaty fabrics.

Colour and Style:

There are so many choices from block colours to floral and abstract prints. What you are drawn to will say alot about your style personality. Here are some of my favourite piece out right now.

Light: Think soft white with a light pattern, this River Island one is perfect with it’s light delicate colour.

Deep: Go for a black or navy base with dark patterns or block colour.I love this animal print one from Oasis. Add your favourite pop of coour in a cami, bag and shoes.

Warm: Buy a piece with more than one colour will give you inspiration. This one from next will look great with soft white and gold, deeps greens and amber. I love how the green strip draws your eye away.

Cool: This gorgouse pink and wihte set is from Matalan. This would look great over a navy swinsuit or worn with Navy or pink heels and cami.

Bright: Black and white really works on you and as black is in this summer why not try this H&M piece. Add anyone of your other colours for fun.

Smokey: This gorgouse ASOS set is a soft colourway and will look lovely against browns, navy, oranges or soft whites and cream.
