Quite Luxury & Wearable Foundations

After the exuberance of post-Covid dopamine dressing and the pink frenzy that accompanied the release of the film Barbie, you might be pleased to hear that one of the biggest trends for this season is what has variously been named ‘Quiet Luxury’, ‘Wearable Foundations’’ - a focus on timeless refined and very wearable pieces in best-in-class fabrics and a neutral colour palette.

You only have to walk past one or two highstreet shops at the moment to see the coffee and cream colours or buttery creams and black with a touch of silver thrown in. Whether you love these chic and natural neutrals or fear boredom will set in and reduce you to tears, this trend is a great way to stock up on staples whatever your style personality. And if you are a little more into colour. Fear not, next week's blog is all about the colour Red.

Some of my favorite high street buys include this very on trend gold satin maxi skirt from NEWLOOK - teamed with a simple white tee and trainers or a halter neck and heels. Or team up with a simple jumper and boots. Taking you from day to night & summer to winter.

I love these smart faux leather wide leg trousers from RIVER ISLAND, the colour and material hit two trends again with faux leather being a normal winter staple.

These popular wide leg trousers from M&S come in 3 lengths and many colours. It’s no surprise they are back again and this time with a matching hoodie for a real luxurious & comfortable look.

If dresses are more your thing this caramel shirt dress from Phase Eight with is a gorgeous example of neutrals looking romantic and chic.

This final image is very french chic. It from ASDA GEORGE I love the brown striped shirt used to layer this look up.

Let start with some almost new items on Vinted:

Mermaid Cove

Vinted, Ebay, Depop and even charity shops are a great place to buy new and used items. So many people are turning to these places. It’s cheaper, more environmentally friendly and a great way to replace items you loved but have worn out.

I’m sharing items from our closing down sale from Mermaid Cove, but on vinted. Showing you that it’s quite easy to pick up brand new items.

Here we have an easy to wear beige jumper with black stars. Wear it with faux leather or wet look leggings and boots or jeans and beige trainers. Shop Here

My favourite item is the v neck beige ribbed puff sleeve top. Gorgeous on a pear or neat hourglass. It also comes in grey for our cooler coloured ladies. I’d dress it up with a metallic pleated skirt or down with jeans and boots. Shop Here

Black is a neutral which has been big this year. This cute puff sleeve top will lift any casual look or look dressed up with heels and a necklace. Shop Here

This stunning leopard print jumpsuit could be worn in the summer or layered with a white shirt and biker jacket in the winter. Shop Here

For all our naturals, ‘This is my day off’ jumper would look hot with faux leather leggings or wide leg jeans. Equally if you have a beige or black pair of joggers you could add this to the set. Shop Here

Last but not least, you can really dress up in this soft neutral. This gorgeous dress from Rare has beautiful beaded flowers really adding a touch of bling to this otherwise calm colour. Shop Here
