Love Leopard Print

I only dashed through town to pick up my school uniform. But I couldn't help notice all the Leopard prints in the windows.

As the summer comes to an end there are a few things we normally expect like leopard print and pleather.

Let's take a look at what's out there and look at ways to add it to your look this September. I’ll be looking at my favourite buys and discussing colour and shape.

Leopard Print on the highstreet 2024

I see Leopard print as a neutral. It can be worn casually with jeans, t-shirt and trainers for an elevated look, or over a pop of colour like a cobalt blue dress or even mixed up with more leopard print for that statement look. Depending on the occasion and your style personality, depends on how you will want to wear it.

RIVER ISLAND

Jeans: This takes jeans, tee and trainers to a new level. Add a denim jacket for a more casual look or  team with a silky blouse for date night.

T Shirt dress: Even more casual is this muted day dress. You can play with it’s shape using belts, hair bands and pins. It can be layered with a jumper and boots in the winter too.

Trench coat: This is my favourite piece out of the whole blog. This trench coat is so glamorous. It will last years and catch everyone's attention for all the right reasons. I feel it would suit a dramatic, chic, creative and romantic so crosses lots of style personalities. Dress up or down.

Boden

Boden loves colour, I was hoping to find colourful leopard prints in Boden, however I found this instead.

Flat stretch boots: These boots are a great statement piece and will lift a simple outfit like jeans and a shirt or enhance a more fun look like a black dress and colourful coat.

Jacket: This military style jacket is a smart way to wear leopard print. It’s a deep and warm print perfect for golden skin and dark eyes.

Jumper: I love the muted light tones of this soft jumper. It has an effortless chic feel to it for a leopard print.

Marks & Spenser

M&S had a few gorgeous pieces of their own online. They also had many other brands like Sosander who have leopard print across their range.

The M&S pieces are mostly in this rich warm golden tone.

Dress: This gorgeous dress boasts an asymmetric neckline. The ruched waist detail is also very flattering drawing your eye to the waist.

Skirt: I can see this skirt dressed up with a rock t-shirt and leather jacket for an epic sexy rock chick look or elegantly styled with a blouse and heels.

Dress: Get ready for the festive season in the party frock.

Mint Velvet

Denim dress: This dress could be used as a shacket over a t-shirt and shorts or warm on warmer days with sandals. Add a splash of colour with some snag tights if you're feeling a little more creative.

Slim jeans: As with the River Island jeans these are a versatile classic. Mint velvet has created the next piece to go with it. They also style it up with a woolly red cardi and red flats. Check them out on their website.

Gilet: This dramatic gilet is fabulous. If you love to own things that now one else owns, this is the one. Wear it as a top, done up on its own or layer it with a long sleeve top. It matches the slim line jeans, so could create the look of a jumpsuit if worn together.

New Look

Cardi: Compared to a lot of the other prints we have seen so far, this is very dark and muted. The model actually wear the cardigan twice, once back to front as a long sleeve top and then as a cardi.

Denim Jacket: This denim jacket is a lot lighter and still muted. If you are curvy, you may want to avoid a boxy jacket. If you are a rectangle then go for it.

Dress: There are lots of leopard dresses online at New Look including some pretty ones from AX Paris. This one is NewLook and comes in a CURVE and Mini dress.

& Other Stories

Some stores will have less leopard print than others. They will pull on different trends at different times of the season or maybe it doesn’t suit that brand's style personality. There is less at & Other Stories currently.

I feel like they give me the chance to talk about accessories. If Leopard Print isn’t for you or you are nervous to try it, do it in a small amount. A detail in a shoe, a belt or a bag.
