The Yummy Mummy Style Program

What’s the Yummy Mummy Style Program? And is it just for mums? In this blog I’m going to share with you this life changing program that is not just fun but an investment into your future self.

Do you have a wardrobe full of clothes but nothing to wear? Do you struggle in clothes shops and have lost the joy of shopping? Have you lost you way when it comes to your wardrobe? Maybe you feel lost after your career, lifestyle and or body shape has changed?

Well I'm here to get you out of that rut you are stuck in and help bring you colour confidence, enhance your beautiful shape, lift your complexion, help you feel more youthful and stylish whilst saving you money and time and creating a more sustainable working wardrobe.

In the Yummy Mummy Style program I work with my clients over 4 - 5 weeks. Once a week they come to me for a session. Let's start with week one.

I love to start with Colour Analysis if it’s the right fit for the client. Join me in my studio (or virtually) for the full colour experience. I use the Tonal system when doing a colour analysis, I find it a more bespoke service. We look at colour matching the client to her best shades including neutrals, whites and wow colours. Those colours that you can wear as a full dress, scarf or jumper and just look stunning in.

They learn their 36 best colours and also how to use their new wallet. We discover great colour combinations to try for example for a warm lady try mustard cardi, soft white cami and olive jeans, or for a cool lady, why not perriwinkle, navy and pure white??? Each individual will have different ‘wow’ combinations.

We also look at make-up shades too. Because often we have a drawer full of lipsticks and eyeshadows that we never wear. This is most likely because they aren’t your best shades and you just didn’t realise. it Let me take the guessing work out and guide into better colour choices.

In week 2 I work on Style with my clients. Style session are more than just understanding your body shape. There are many variations of each shape too. Do you have a high rise, long leg, short body? An should you tuck it in or not? Once we learn all about your proportions you will discover your best fabrics, patterns, scale of pattern and cuts. All this knowledge will help enhance your best bits and minimise or disguise the bits you don't like as much, overall creating a more flattering shape that helps you feel more beautiful, confident and dare I say… Sexy !

This isn’t all.. arguably the most important thing to understand is your Style Personality. You may be more of a shy natural or a fun dramatic. You might prefer shopping in charity shops or Zara. Understanding who you are and how you want to be perceived will not only add to your confidence about how you look but it will enable you to make confident choices. Express who you truly are. Understand which shops suit you best and learn why I might wear my bright colours and you might stick to all the muted neutrals.

In week three it’s time to declutter. Yep I visit all my Yummy Mummy clients to help them edit and detox their wardrobes. This means pulling everything out and having a good sort through and clear out.

This doesn’t mean I come and throw everything away.

Sometimes it’s a chance to create combinations a client hadn’t thought of. Somettimes it’s a chance to see what basics you ae missing?

With that in mine during this process we build and priorities a shopping list of items you need.

At the end of this session i’m often asked where to take the clothes going to charity. I offer to take all charity shop items to SATEDA or The Beehive.

Personal Shopping Trip, Bluewater

In the last week, I’m often busy in the background doing much research on whats available, i’m looking where to purchase whats needed on that very important list created during the wardrobe detox and generally planning for my clients Personal Shopping trip.

Depending on your style personality depends on where we shop. You may find blue water or Stratford shopping center your best optins or you may find charity shops and quirky boutiques in Tenterden suit you better.

Our 2 to 3 hour shopping trip will guide you thoough the best shopping pratices and is finished up with Lunch and a personaly gift from me.

I guess the last this to say is that you don’y have to be a mum at all to go on this journey. In fact it’s fun to say that you can go from a Frumpy Mummy to a Yummy Mummy but you can go from a frumpy women to a frumpy women too. It really is a program for anyone who wants to change, who wants to feel less overwhelm when they open their wardrobe. For someone who wants to think less about how they look and more about enjoying the day.
