How to wear Peach Fuzz - Pantones Colour of 2024

How to wear Pantone Colour of the year? Love it or hate it, this years Pantone colour is Fuzzy Peach. My first reaction was one that took me back to my mum's lounge at the end of the 80’s when we had a pale grey sofa and lots of pine furniture. Wishy washy icky!

However let's take a closer look at Pantone and their colour of the year and see who and how this delicate soft cosy colour could be better the second time around.

What is PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz?

Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz captures our desire to nurture ourselves and others. It’s a velvety gentle peach tone whose all-embracing spirit enriches mind, body and soul.

‘’ In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a colour radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.’’

Leatrice Eiseman

Who can wear peach fuzz?

Peach fuzz is ultimately a light, soft and warm shade. So if you have 2 or three of these elements in your colours it’s perfect for you.

If you are warm and bright, deep and warm or soft and cool it isn’t your best friend but will easily squeeze in next to your other perfect colours. Just be mindful not to place it as a block colour under your face.

If you are bright, cool and deep it’s going to be harder. But not impossible. Imagine a dark navy suit, soft white shirt  with peach shoes and a bag. Just these flecks of colour popping out will look great.

What’s in the shops?

Currently there isn’t a huge amount of peach in the shops however I predict there will be splashes of peach in spring when all the pastels start coming out as they do at that time of year.

LK Bennet have a few pieces including these sling back shoes, simple court heels and bags some of which are in the sales. Accessories are the best way to go.

Oliver Bonus has some beautiful homewear in peachy shades including glasses. I love there Cardi and maching canvas trainers.

Remeber to look fo apricots, light salmon as well as peach when searching online. Different people call different shades many different names.

And if peach isn’t your best friend, look our for multicoloured prints with a fleck of peach in it. Like this beautiful slip dress from River Island. Dress it up for a special summer event or casual for lunch using the Oliver Bonas cardi and shoes.

Do you like peach but peach doesn’t like you?

If you need to dress smart or casual and want to wear peach but it’s definatley one of your colours, stick to a neutral base eg: jeans and a tee or like this following example, a navy suit and soft white shirt. Add splashes of it using your accessories.

In this mood board you can see a navy suit from M&S with an ivory shirt. The tote bag and shoes are from and i’ve pulled it all together with this lovely scarf from Oliver Bonas. You could wear a gorgeous deep pink coat over the top to cool it down.

Finish off the your look with peachy tones. Mary Kay have a fabulous range of cloours from Juciy peach lipstick, always apricot or coral captive lipstick, fancy nancy lipgloss or a gorgeous cheek cream. And they must of got the pantone memo as this luxurious hand care set is the perfect colour and smells of orchard peaches.

Zao Make Up in worm peachy tones.

For anyone looking for an eco friendly, vegan, refillable and sustainable make up brand ZAO hit the mark. I love their wark eye shadows.
