How to shop in the Christmas Sales

How to shop in the Christmas Sales?

Do you get carried away shopping for clothes in the sale? Do you find 6 months later you still have said clothes sitting in the wardrobe with the label still on?

Or are you a savvy sales shopper who finds it easy to find great items you fall in love with?

Don’t fall into that trap of wasting time and money on things you don’t need. Follow my key steps to making the most of the sales.

What do you NEED? Ask yourself this first. Take this time to make sure you have all the basics. Jeans, tshirts, vest tops, coats, boots or trainers etc. Do an audit of your wardrobe before you head to the shops and be sure to buy only what you need.

What do you love? Have you got an item of clothing you recently bought like boots for example, something you have bought and started to wear to death? Is it worth having two? This is a great time to pick them up half price. And ask yourself, is it a brand you like?

High ticket items. This is a great time to pick up designer brands at affordable prices. If you're looking to get away from cheaper fast fashion brands, saving up for the sales is a great way to buy. Replace the cheaper items in your wardrobe with products that are well made, wash well and last. This is a great way to become more sustainable.

Take your colours. Only shop for the colours in your pallet. That way you can be sure what you buy will go with clothes you already have.

Shop online. The great thing about online shopping is that you can use filters to cut out the noise. Put in your size, preferred colours and browser away.

Remember the charity shops have sales now too.

If you feel clueless when shopping for clothes why not get in touch for a colour & style session.
