How To Dress With Less Stress.

Did you know it takes the average women 17 minutes to get ready each day. Does it take you longer? Does getting ready in the morning stress you out?

If your a busy mum, juggling kids, house work and maybe even ‘work work’, then what you put on each morning should be the least of your worries.

But if picking an outfit each day is a struggle, uninspiring and even depressing then you may find yourself stuck in a rut.

Are you buying clothes to fill the gap but end up with a wardrobe full of clothes with nothing to wear?

At Katie’s style I help women just like you to get dressed with ease, feel good about what they wear and create a working wardrobe whether you are playing mum, house wife or work.

In my Yummy Mummy Style program I unlock a womens best colour to help lift her complexion, look younger but most importantly create a sustainable working wardrobe that delivers every time.

Using a colour wheel to shop.

Follow these simple rules to you gain the power over your wardrobe and confidence:

  1. Skincare. Yep let's start the morning with a routine, no a skin care ritual which will set you up for the day. Wash, cleanse, tone, serum, moisturizer and SPF. It only needs to take 5 min and will sit alongside brushing your teeth.  Not only will this wake you up and give you 5 min to yourself each day, it gives you the best foundation for your makeup if you wear it.

2. Start with 6 basic colours. 3 Neutral colours and 3 fashion/favourite colours. If you haven’t had your colours done a safe place to start is Teal, Navy and soft white as a base. Black is often our go to colours but it doesn’t work for everyone. Other options include Chocolate or Charcoal.

3. Create a capsule wardrobe with these 12 items. A capsule wardrobe doesn’t mean only owning 12 items. It’s about having all the core items to create the perfect foundation. You will always be able to mix and match if you have 12 items cut to your body shape and in your 6 colours. Anything else will also work if it’s with your colour palette, the right cut for your body shape.

4. Lipstick and accessories: The cherry on the top, the important finishing touches. Remember to use a belt, matching shoe and bag, jewellery and lipstick. These are the things that make a simple jeans and tshirt look expensive and well put together (even if you are dressed head to toe in primark gear)

5. Plan your look the night before. Or at least have an idea. This way you can check if it’s been washed and ironed. Or if you have girls, you can go on the hunt for those bits they’ve borrowed without asking.

If you're feeling clueless and lost, if you have a wardrobe full of clothes with nothing to wear… maybe you’ve lost your way and nothing works anymore then why not book a free Personal Style Breakthrough call today.
