Whether you're dressing up to go out with the girls, doing a date night in a swanky restaurant with your partner or dining in for two with a movie in Pj’s, here are some outfits to inspire your look this valentines/ galentine's day.

Dinner date, drinks in a bar and maybe even a little dance. Dressing up doesn’t have to be a hassle. Let it be fun, let it be some well needed ‘me time’. Pop a bit of time aside, do a facemask , blow dry your hair and pop on a lippy.

The Top

You can’t go wrong with a ‘nice top’ but let's make it more than just nice. Look for satin, velvet or sparkle.

Red is the colour of passion & pink the colour of love and romance. So look for a shade that suits you.  Pair it with a satin skirt, leather look jeggings or your smartest dark jeans and heels.

  2. Red Cami - Ted Baker

  3. Two Tone Wrap Top - Never Fully Dressed

  4. Red Cowl Neck - New Look

  5. Pink Cami - River Island

  6. Red Asymetric Top - Reiss

The Dress / Jumpsuit

Take the stress out of pairing a top and bottom together. Pick a dress or jumpsuit. If you struggle to pick the right shape for you then go for a wrap dress or wrap style jumpsuit. This is one of the most universal cuts and will suit most shapes.

Corsetry and cut out details are all on trend. However, go for what you love and feel most comfortable in. There's nothing worse than feeling you have to pull and tug at your outfit all night.

  1. Red dress - Mango

  2. Red dress - French Connection

  3. Jumpsuit - Sosander

  4. Asymetric dress - Mango

  5. Pink jumpsuit - Adrianna Papell

  6. Pink geometric dress - Oliver Bonas

The Coat

If you're reading this from Europe, Valentine's Day is typically in the winter. So wrap up in something sexy and glam. Opt for faux fur, tailored fits, pleather, red or pink.

A black leather biker is perfect for a little bit of sex rock chic vibe, however if black isn'‘t your friend then opt for navy like this beautiful once from Jaeger. It feels divine.

Animal print is dramatic and racy but also very romantic. I will also keep you very warm, perfect if you're sporting a little slinky number underneath.

Fitted or tailored trench coat will look flattering and chic.

  1. Pink fur - River Island

  2. Cream or black fur coat - Chi Chi London

  3. Leopard Print - Oasis

  4. Red wrap coat - Ted Baker

  5. Navy Leather Jacket - Jeager

The Shoes

There’s nothing sexier than a gorgeous pair of shoes. Shoes and accessories can lift a plain jeans and tshirt look for lunch with the girls, just add a pink or red pop of colour. These would also look stunning against a little black dress, black leather skinny’s and top. Think of Sandy in the final scene of Greece, the movie.

  1. Purple High Heels - Moda Pelle

  2. Red Bow - Joe Browns

  3. Pink Bow - Boden

  4. Red Court Shoe - Next

  5. Kitten Heel - Next

  6. Hearts - Irreguar Choice

The PJ’s

Does your lounge wear or pj’s let you down? You can still slob out in style. Think about it, we are at our most vulnerable when our make up comes off and we throw our hair up and slip into something more comfy. So it makes sense to wear something that is not only super comfy but also looks great and puts a smile on our face. Pick your best colour and invest in some pretty or saucy evening wear so you can snuggle up for a valentines movie night feeling gorgeous.
